I’m truly awed by God’s presence, by the things God does. Last night we put on the event Generation –U at Emmanuel Cathedral in Bridgeport, Ct and despite all the enemy tried to do to discourage, God pulled it off in a magnificent way!
A blessed member of Calvary Baptist Church in Darien blessed the evening with an abundance of food and beverages served up on the grill by David Harvey! Accompanied by our Holy Ghost DJ for the evening setting the right tone and ambiance Curtis Robinson (MajesticSound). Pastor Deborah Ann Harvey (aka my Aunt Deb) then kicked off the evening with a circle of prayer followed by anointed praise and worship from Desiree Harvey and Kevin Mckeithen (Daze) SMASHING out Amazing Grace!
Bobby a student at Harding High school showed up for an OUTSTANDING praise dance to the song “God has not forgot” SHE KNOCKED IT OUT OFF THE CROSS!!!!!
Next we had the testimony of Lil Miss Avery, she truly uplifted the name of Jesus and testified about how there was a time where church would be the last place you would find her, but spent many of nights in Pastor Harvey’s Living Room praying together and prophesying that one day they wouldn’t have church in the living room only, but would have a building, and how blessed she was to see the fulfillment of that prophecy! Her message was keeping faith while inside the boat on stormy seas!
What would the Generation U youth event be without HIP HOP?! We’ll never know because Kevin Mckeithen (aka Daze) made sure we had it. Daze was in Atlanta at the time of seeing the flyer on the internet and he immediately called me and said “Jon I will be in town for the event, I have to be there with you!” And when he showed up, I knew God brought in the heavy hitters for the occasion! Daze message for the Generation was for us not to get buried in the dirt that the wicked throws on us, but to dust it off pile it up and use it as a stepping block to rise up! Daze performed the song “We Serve The Risen” which had us all out of our seats waving our hands and truly worshipping the Risen Lord!
The evening was capped off with the message God’s Logo, and God’s Logo is Jesus. And several people made decisions for Christ!
Everybody that came to the event was blessed with a Bible when they left!
Please pray for the youth that took part in the event that God uses them in a mighty way to lead people to Jesus Christ and see lives changed!
